Syarikat Haw-Lee Sdn. Bhd. was established in 1983 by our Managing Director, Mr. Richard Chan. Currently, the business is on helm by the 2nd generation, Mr. Nicholas Chan.
In 1974, our late founders Mr. Alan Chan and Mr. Richard Chan under Hawley & Co as partnership, introduced S.I. Lesaffre France yeasts and improvers into the Singapore and Malaysia bakery industry. Though the initial reception was lukewarm, but after many trials and testing, the yeast was well accepted and supported by many bakeries in region.
In 1981, Mr. Richard Chan decided to develop the Malaysia Market more and start the plans to open a new company call Syarikat Haw-Lee Sdn Bhd expanded his sales operation to West Malaysia. In 1983, Syarikat Haw-Lee Sdn Bhd was officially registered and established with a small workforce of only 4 staffs, and now Syarikat Haw-Lee Sdn Bhd has grown into a total work force of 30 staffs, a leading supplier in Malaysia for yeast, bread improvers and baking Ingredients. Our sales offices and warehouses are based in Johor, Selangor, Penang, and including distribution centres in Sabah and Sarawak. We have strategically located our warehouses and logistical centres close to our customers’ factory, to ensure prompt delivery and ensuring high quality products standard to meet our customer’s expectation. In addition, we have set up Baking Lab in Selangor and we work closely with Lesaffre Baking Center in Singapore to facilitate technical support to our customers.
Our company will continue to enhance our operational effectiveness and excel in service excellence to meet the expectations from our stakeholders.
